Ono Ama
Fashion & Portraits|
Ono Ama is Jennifer Grube and vice versa. I am a German-Ghanaian creative, living and working in Amsterdam.
I have over a decade of experience taking images of people and fashion, making this not only my passion, but also my expertise. I bring a unique multicultural perspective to my assignments, adding to my shoots the colours and energy of African culture and the efficiency of the German in me.
I approach each session with warmth and respect so that each frame can be a celebration of human beauty in all its forms.
My approach is deeply rooted in the Ghanaian tradition of celebrating life's every moment. From the intricate patterns of kente cloth to the joy of a simple, yet delicious plate of Jollof rice, I find beauty in the details that others might overlook. This appreciation for life's small wonders infuses my photography with vibrancy and depth. I always aim to bring a fresh, imaginative perspective to my images. If you're looking for photography that's bold, colourful, and anything but ordinary, you came to the right place!
With my passion for aesthetics and my creative vision, I collaborate with clients on concept development, set design, and styling to create cohesive and impactful visual stories.

Ono Ama
In the rich tapestry of Ghanaian culture, a person's name often has a deeper meaning, tied to the day of their birth. "Ono" is inspired by and derived off the word "Ɔyɛ" in Twi, my mother's language, which means "She", while **Ama**, one of the names given to Saturday-born children, symbolizes creativity and wisdom.
Together, this alias says, "She is Ama", a creative spirit born on the day of wisdom.
This name isn't just a label though; it has become my artistic identity, connecting my personal heritage with my passion for fashion and portrait photography.
"Ama" reflects my own journey in finding my photographic voice. Like the vibrant patterns in Ghanaian kente cloth and the many of colours in African wax fabrics, my work brings together diverse influences.
My Saturday-born spirit infuses everything I do with a sense of celebration and individuality.
